Fr Ezeogu Celebrates Silver Jubilee

Without the past and the present one cannot talk about the future. On 9th of November 2008 the Spiritan community at SIST celebrated the silver jubilee of the priestly ordination of one of its members, Rev. Fr. Dr. Ernest Munachi Ezeogu C.S.Sp.

The celebration began with the Holy Mass which the Jubilarian was the principal celebrant. In his inspiring homily, Rev. Fr. Dr. Jude Ogbenna C.S.Sp. described the Jubilarian as an initiator, achiever, a man endowed with many talents and one who for the past twenty five year has used his talents judiciously for the service of God and humanity. He mentioned in particular Fr Ezeogu's internet evangelization ministry (www.munachi.com) which serves as a pulpit to preach the good news to the whole world and as a vehicle to convey the word of God to the ends of the earth.

After the Eucharistic celebration, the occasion continued. This second part was characterized by alot of singing, dancing, eating and drinking. A beautiful citation on the life of Fr Ernest was rendered by Albert Jusu, a seminarian in third year. Cutting of the jubilee cake formed part of the main highlights of the day.

The Jubilarian was full of joy and so was everybody in our community. Friends of the Jubilarian and of the community that participated in the celebration expressed deep joy and gratitude for everything that happened.
